Brett Machtig
After graduating with degrees in accounting, economics and business from Mac Murray College in 1983, Brett won a scholarship to Duke University’s highly regarded Fuqua School of Management. Brett became a financial advisor in 1984 and more than 25 years later, he continues to manage investments for primarily retired individuals, key Fortune 500 executives and hard-working families. In 1995, he wrote Wealth In A Decade which evolved during his years of experience as a financial advisor.
On his book tour, Brett appeared on many radio, television, and speaking events in every major city in the United States including CNBC’s “Your Money,” PBS’s “Financial Freedom,” and CNN’s “Financial Update.”
His book landed on the desk at a radio station in Tallahassee, Florida, because the station broadcast a weekly money management show hosted by Dan Clark. Dan read the book and interviewed Brett more than once. After Brett presented at a credit union-sponsored event in Tallahassee, consulted with Dan’s credit union in a
planning retreat.
Because of the success of Wealth In A Decade, several businesses asked Brett to develop a method of improving the bottom line of their companies. The result was a game concept and business book. The Corporate Guide To Profit and Wealth assists in the strategic planning process designed to identify how to make companies more profitable. The skills today are used to value publicly traded companies to the benefit of Brett’s clients.
Brett continues to manage investments (including Dan’s) and helps his clients to create and follow their personal financial plans. Most of his clients live in the Chicago, Boston, New York, Destin-Ft Walton Beach and Minneapolis metropolitan areas.
Why is Brett available as a presenter to DCA Clients? Brett’s experiences make him a prime speaker for added value to the volunteers of credit unions and other nonprofit when attending a conference for their organizations.
